The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday.
The Carroll County coroners said that Neal Myers of Arrow Road in Carrollton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said his car went over the median on Route 171 and crashed into several trees.
The Sheriff’s Office said that this is the fourth traffic fatality in more than two months.
