BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio —
The cause of a fire that killed three children in Belmont County over the weekend is still undetermined.
The fire broke out on Sunday at approximately 10:45 a.m. at an apartment building on Main Street in Bridgeport.
The Ohio Division of State Fire Marshal said they have completed their work at the scene, but their investigation is continuing.
In a news release, a spokesman for the fire marshal's office said investigators cannot rule out electrical causes.
Additionally, the release stated "there is no criminal activity indicated from (the) investigation conducted alongside Bridgeport Police Department and Bridgeport Fire Department.
The fire broke out on Sunday at approximately 10:45 a.m. at an apartment building on Main Street in Bridgeport.
