Hancock County, WV —

The threat of legal action didn't stop the city of Chester, W.Va., from enacting an ordinance that more clearly defines a ban on golf carts.

Council members passed the ordinance on Monday night during their regularly scheduled council meeting, but now it appears as though the issue will play out in court.

NEWS9 has learned that some residents have consulted attorneys and will be pursuing this legally.

City leaders have said that they feel they are within their rights to ban the vehicles.
