COLERAIN, Ohio —
Belmont County firefighters battled a chimney fire Friday night in Colerain, firefighters said.
The blaze broke out about 11:25 p.m. at a house at the corner of Farmington Road and Twin Beech Road, according to Colerain Volunteer Fire Company spokesman Michael Perry.
Barton and Colerain firefighters attacked the fire from the back of the house using a ladder and put it out in half an hour, Perry said.
Everyone made it out safely, and the house apart from the chimney was not damaged, authorities said.
