Church camp groundskeepers found dead

By Ryan Eldredge and  NEWS9

LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP, Ohio

Liverpool Township police chief Charlie Burgess said the son of a Liverpool Township couple discovered his parents' bodies  at a home along Anderson Boulevard in Liverpool Township around 6 p.m. Friday.

"We have two victims inside that have apparent gunshot wounds and we're waiting for the coroner's office to complete their investigation," said Burgess.

Police said the husband and wife were groundskeepers at the Free Methodist Church Camp.

Burgess said the couple died less than 24 hours before police got there.

NEWS9 spoke with a resident who was still in shock.

"It's going to be a little difficult. It will, just knowing that we never had any problems with them. I don't know the whole situation over there.  It's a shock," said Mike David.

The names of the couple are Michael Wolfe Sr. and his wife karen wolfe.

The police chief says this appears to be a murder-suicide. But says they won't know for sure until they get a ruling from the coroner.
