Citzens Take Action Against Crime

A group of residents in Harrison County say they are ready to fight back against crime.

Neighbors in the community of Bingham Terrace in Cadiz said when they see crime happening they plan to confront the criminals.

"They don't have guns like Pittsburgh or Steubenville they might have a club, but like I said if they have a club and I see a brick I'm picking up the brick and I'm going to stop them. I'm going to defend myself, especially if they're doing a crime. I could do a citizen's arrest I think," said Donnel White, a resident.

Cadiz police say the best idea when witness to a crime is to call the police, not to take matters into your own hands.

However, people we talked with say they feel a lot safer knowing their neighbors are stepping up to the plate to protect the community.
