Columbiana Co. unoccupied house fire under investigation

By NEWS9

COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio —

Columbiana County firefighters are investigating what caused a house to go up in flames Saturday afternoon.

Glenmoor Fire Chief Matt Smith said the unoccupied building at 16309 Annesley Rd. is right across the street from their station. Flames were already through the roof and back side when firefighters attacked the structure just before 4 p.m.

Calcutta and Liverpool Township firefighters helped battle the blaze, he said.

Fire officials said the house was used mostly for storage and suffered heavy damage.
