Community Says Final Goodbyes To Wheeling Officer

The community and local police said there their final goodbyes to a Wheeling officer killed in a tragic crash in Florida.

The final viewing began at 10 a.m. at Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Goldbaugh died last weekend when troopers said a drunken driver hit and killed him while he was vacationing in Florida.

People are lining lined the streets and flags are waving waved in front of the City Building as they prepare prepared for Lt. William Golbaugh to pass Police Headquarters one last time.

They are here were there to honor the officer who served his community for 21 years, years and will be remembered as a dedicated officer, a loving family man and an avid bowler.

The processions will pass through Wheeling and then go to the Greenwood Cemetery where Goldbaugh will be laid to rest.
