Congress Trying To Save Cash For Clunkers

Consumers have been racing to take advantage of a popular 'Cash for Clunkers' program.

The program offers owners of old cars and trucks up to $4,500 in exchange for a new, more fuel-efficient vehicle.

Team General Manager Steve Diomedi said his dealership has sold about 30 vehicles since July 1, under the cash for clunkers program.

But with the success at Team in Steubenville and other dealerships across the country, the program is running low, if not empty.

Transportation Secretary Ray Lahood said the program will continue at least through Friday while the Obama administration looks for more money.
