OHIO VALLEY —

Various locations in the Ohio Valley will open cooling centers to the public, following power outages from Friday night's storms.  In Marshall County, residents can cool off in the Chesapeake Building, the Marshall County Fairgrounds and the Benwood Firemen's Club, according to Marshall County Emergency Management Agency Director Tom Hart.  All facilities will open at noon, and everyone is advised to bring drinks and food.  The Brooke County courthouse will also open a cooling center on the first floor for locals with no air conditioning.  The Salvation Army locations in South Wheeling and on 16th street in Wheeling will have cooling centers available to the public.  Some water advisories are in effect immediately for several counties.  The city of Moundsville has placed residents under a mandatory water use advisory until further notice, and water is only to be used in case of an emergency, Hart said.  Due to power outages, customers with the Belmont County Sanitation Sewer District will be under a water conservation order and boil order for 48 hours while water tanks are refilled, officials said.  Stay with NEWS9, WTOV9.com and WTOV9 Mobile for the latest updates and information.
