COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio —
Emergency crews battled two house fires in East Liverpool on Monday night.
The first fire happened on Sugar Street around 5 p.m. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation but officials said it looks suspicious.
Fire officials said the vacant house was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived, and they stayed at the scene for about seven hours.
The second fire happened on Cadmas Street around 12:30 a.m. No one was home at the time and officials said the fire appears to be accidental, but they are investigating.
No one was injured in either fire.
