NEFFS, Ohio —
Investigators are seeking the cause of a fire that destroyed a Belmont County home early Friday.
The blaze was reported around 6:30 a.m. When crews arrived at the house on Echo Road in Neffs, flames were already coming through the roof.
Fire Chief John Driscoll said crews worked to fight the fire but could not save the home.
Crews said no one was inside when the fire broke out.
Investigators with the Ohio State Fire Marshal's Office were at the scene as of 11:30 a.m.
