WHEELING, W.Va. —
Demolition has started on the old Imperial Pools building, formerly the Jefferson School in Wheeling.
The city condemned the building quite some time ago and fought to get the building’s owner to repair it.
The structure along U.S. Route 250 should be down by the end of the week, officials said.
Edge Co. of Lansing is doing the demolition work for the city. The company also demolished two dozen homes nearby to make way for a new sports complex.
