Description released of man who robbed Jefferson Co. store at gunpoint

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio —

Officials in Jefferson County are seeking a man who robbed a store at gunpoint earlier this month.

The robbery happened on Dec. 7 at the Special Way on state Route 213.

On a surveillance video, the robber is seen forcing his way into the store with a gun. The man then took $40 from the cash register and threatened to shoot a clerk.

The robber is a white man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He fled in a maroon or red van with Ohio license plates.
