Steubenville, OH —

After months of waiting, it was finally time for delegates of the Republican National Convention to shed other allegiances and unite behind one man. Mitt Romney accepted the Republican Party's presidential nomination on Thursday night, much to the joy of those in attendance at the convention and those at watch parties across the country, including some here in the Ohio Valley.

At the Triple Play Cafe in Steubenville, locals locals gathered to watch and gear up for the stretch run.

"Hopefully we'll rally up all the troops and get an opportunity to campaign and help in the local area and try to help and get this locked up for Romney," said Jonathan Bolulos.

Romney's quest to challenge President Barack Obama wasn't without its difficulties. Now he is still challenged with painting a more complete portrait of himself for voters, who seem to have conflicting ideas on what Romney is like and if he has to show more personality.

"I don't think so. To me I think he showed his personality to me on the stage during the preliminary debates," said Ken Nelson.

"It's not the worst thing to have a boring candidate. When Obama ran he was flashy but if we look at his record we can see it didn't work out," said Gabriel Eckstein.
