WHEELING, W.Va. —
Wheeling firefighters are investigating a fire that destroyed a home downtown early Wednesday.
There were no reported injuries.
Neighbors called 911 to report flames shooting from the side of 4524 Eoff St. around 4 a.m.
Firefighters said an electrical issue is likely to have started the blaze.
The fire was so intense that it melted the siding and damaged some windows to a home next door.
The blaze was one of two house fires in the area. One person died in a separate house fire Tuesday evening on Wheeling Island.
