OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. —
Wheeling police are investigating a pharmacy burglary that happened early Friday in Elm Grove.
The crime happened at the same pharmacy where a man was fatally shot trying to rob in it May.
Police said burglars escaped with about $50,000 worth of prescriptions.
The thieves broke in the back door between 3:15 and 3:30 a.m. They cut phone lines, electric lines and cable lines, and no alarm sounded when the robbers were there.
Police said the case is complex and said the robbery was discovered when the pharmacist came to work Friday morning and found the back door was kicked in.
The burglars are two white men, and police said they are working to get video from the pharmacy analyzed. Until then, they're gathering as much evidence as they can.
