YORKVILLE, Ohio -- Esmark representatives and union leaders with United Steelworkers of America Local 1223 resumed talks Wednesday to try and reach a labor agreement for the plant in Yorkville.
USW Local 1223 President Jerry Conners said the talks were scheduled to continue Tuesday. Conners said he was hopeful that the union and Esmark could reach an agreement.
Any agreement reached by the company and union leaders needs to be ratified by Local 1223 Steelworkers before the new contract would take effect and before the plant could restart.
