WHEELING, W.Va. —

The family and friends of a missing 19-year-old woman are reaching out, asking the community to help bring her home.

Brittany Russell has been missing since Saturday and as time goes on her family says they are growing more concerned.

Russell's family said she has a mental disability that doesn't allow her to make adult decisions and that makes them even more concerned for her safety.

About 30 people gathered Thursday morning at Patterson Ball Field in Wheeling with "missing" fliers in hand and one goal in mind.

"I just want Brittany to come home safe and let her know she's not in trouble or anything like that," said Brittany's mother Janice Russell. "Just come home."

Brittany's mother and other family members say they have gotten several tips on where she may be, but those leads have all come up empty. However, they refuse to stop looking.

"We're going to start walking the streets yelling Brittany's name until we're exhausted," said Brittany's Aunt Angel McGlaughlin. "We're trying to find her to bring her home safely."

Family members say the 19-year-old has a mental disability that prevents her from always making the right decisions. They said they fear her loving and trusting personality may be the reason she's missing.

But they are optimistic that Brittany is still alive and have a plea for anyone who may know where she is.

"Please, please let her go if she's still alive," said McGlaughlin. "Let her go. Return home please."

Brittany is described as having brown eyes and brownish red hair that is most likely pulled back. She is 5 foot 4 inches and weighs about 104 pounds. She was last seen wearing a yellow tank top and blue jeans.

Her family is urging that anyone with any information come forward.

A rescue dog was also brought in to aid in the community search.

Police said they have listed Brittany in the NCIS as a missing person. That was so law enforcement across the country can be on the lookout for her.
