MARSHALL COUNTY, W. Va. —

A fugitive wanted on child sex charges has been arrested in Marshall County.

The Mountain State Fugitive Task Force announced Friday that John Tedrow, 32, was arrested at a home on Rines Ridge.

Tedrow, who investigators considered armed and dangerous, was carrying a gun, but was arrested without incident.

Tedrow was taken to the Northern Regional Jail.

Tedrow will have a video arraignment Saturday morning.

Additional federal charges could be filed.

The U.S. Marshal's Service first listed Tedrow as a fugitive earlier this week.

He was wanted on two counts of unlawfully engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor, two counts of sexual assault with a minor and three counts of producing child pornography.

Authorities said the last three counts stem from an accusation that Tedrow made a video of at least one of the assaults.

Officials said information about the alleged abuse was given to police by friends of Tedrow's.

Earlier this week, several people who know Tedrow would not speak on camera with NEWS9, saying they feared retaliation if they spoke publically about the sex charges Tedrow faces.

Moundville police and the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force spent Monday following leads, with no success.
