BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio —

A man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to more than a dozen burglaries in Belmont County.

Lawrence Henry pleaded guilty to 14 counts of burglary, one count of receiving stolen property, and one count of breaking and entering.

Police say $18,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a home on High Ridge Road near Bellaire in December 2011. Authorities said Henry tried to sell the jewelry to a Martins Ferry store the morning after the theft.

A short time later, investigators linked Henry to numerous area burglaries within a three-month period.
