JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio —
One person was transported to a hospital after car went over a hillside in Jefferson County on Friday.
The crash happened on Route 22 just before 2 p.m.
The vehicle was driving west on Route 22 and exited at John Scott Highway, then went over the hillside. A passerby stopped to make sure the woman driving the vehicle was OK. He helped the woman out of the car and walked her up the hill, then called first responders.
The woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital as a precaution.
Steubenville Fire Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating the cause of the crash.
Traffic was not disrupted.
