FIRST ON 9: Brooke Co. home destroyed by fire

BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. —

A Brooke County home was destroyed in a massive fire late Thursday.


Officials said the fire broke out on Laurel Avenue in McKinleyville around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Brooke County Sheriff's Department dispatchers said seven fire departments responded to fight the blaze.

Crews said the fire started in the garage and then spread to the house.

The house has been ruled a total loss. Additional information was not available as of noon Friday.
