Former State Penitentiary Turns Into Dungeon Of Horrors

Halloween is just around the corner, and the former state penitentiary in Moundsville will open Friday as "The Dungeon of Horrors."

The Moundsville site is decked out with more scares than you can imagine, according to organizers. NEWS9's cameras took a peek inside.

This year's main attraction is a casket ride. Each person will get closed in a casket and take a 100-foot ride into the next room.

"We've added several thousand dollars of lighting and sound this year, and it's a really top-notch and professional show. We're going to scare you. I guarantee we're going to scare you," said Tom Stiles, organizer.

Stiles doesn't recommend the haunted house for kids under 12 years of age. However, there will be family night in October when all ages are welcomed.
