JEFFERSON COUNTY, OH---

Around 11 a.m. Monday, U.S. marshals with the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force got a tip that Jordan Hendricks, a man they have been looking for since December, was inside the apartment building at 909 Adams Street in Steubenville.
"This morning we were able to arrest Jordan Hendricks. He's wanted for two counts of malicious wounding and arson -- wanted by Weirton P.D.," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Chad Simpson.
Those charges stem from an incident that happened back in December at a home on Cove Road in Weirton.
That's where officers say Hendricks got into a fight with a man and woman, sending the man to a hospital.
"He hit a male subject in the head with a hammer, sending him to the hospital and then threw the hammer at a female, striking her in the leg," said Simpson.
Then police said that about two weeks later, Hendricks went back to the location of that fight and threw gasoline and oil on the porch of the victim's house, setting it on fire.
Simpson said authorities have always known Hendricks was in the Steubenville area, but other attempts at tracking him down came up short.
"We followed up on numerous tips throughout the last 7, 8 months and multiple interviews of other suspects throughout the Steubenville area and there were sightings of him but it was after the fact," Simpson said.
Hendricks is being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
He will have his extradition hearing in Jefferson County before he can be taken to Hancock County where he will have his court hearing.
