Fugitive Behind Bars After High-Speed Chase

A fugitive is back behind bars Friday morning after he escaped from the Columbiana County Jail and fled with his girlfriend.

Larry Williams kicked out a window in the minimum security section of the jail Thursday, the Columbiana County sheriff’s department said.

Police caught him with his girlfriend, Candy Marie Kibler.

Police said Williams stole cars in Lisbon and Wooster and led police on a high-speed chase that started in Lewisburg, W.Va.

The couple was arrested in Beckley after they crashed a car into the side of a nursing home, police said.

Williams and Kibler are currently in the Southern Regional Jail in Beckley facing several charges.
