Fugitive In Police Custody After Turning Himself In

WHEELING, W.Va. —

An Ohio Valley fugitive who is now in police custody after turning himself in to police.

Garrett Roston was wanted by police in Wheeling and the Mountain State Fugitive Task Force.

NEWS9 has learned he was brought back to the Northern Regional Jail Friday where he's now being held.

Deputy U.S. Marshall Chad Simpson said that Roston turned himself in to police in Martinsburg on Sept. 11.

Roston is being held on a fraud charge out of Wheeling.

Marshals were looking for Roston on a kidnapping charge after 22-year-old Kayla Schroeder was reported missing. NEWS9 was told that after Roston turned himself in, she turned up at her mothers house in Bellaire, Ohio.

The U.S. Marshals Service had previously said she left the area with Roston against her will.
