Fugitive wanted by Texas officials arrested in Belmont Co.

BELLAIRE, Ohio —

 

A fugitive wanted by officials in Texas has been arrested in Belmont County.

 

Eddie Rector, 39, was considered armed and dangerous. Officials had a warrant out for Rector's arrest on a parole violation and he was originally in police custody on drug charges.

 

Rector was arrested at an apartment complex on 41st Street in Bellaire after officers responded to the area for reports that a man was threatening to shoot people.

 

Rector was later recognized by police as a man wanted out of El Paso, Texas.

 

He was arrested and taken to the Belmont County Jail.
