Future Of Capitol Music Hall Unknown

People around Wheeling are trying to figure out what is going on with the oldest theater in West Virginia, the Capitol Music Hall. Concerns grew after rumors started flying that the music hall would close following B.E. Taylor's Christmas concert. The building is owned by Clear Channel Communications. News9 tried for days to contact Clear Channel, but couldn't get answers. On Thursday, News9 received an e-mail from the company's public relations firm, Brainerd Communicators. "Clear Channel cannot comment on this issue as the company is currently entering Securities and Exchange Commission quiet period," says Brainerd Communicators. According to the company, the quiet period is in effect because in August, Clear Channel Entertainment filed a registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission detailing plans to spin off from Clear Channel Communication as a separate company. According to the SEC, until the filing is declared "effective", Clear Channel is under a waiting period. During this period, federal law prevents the company from releasing any plans to the public.
