H1N1 Shots Administered After Emergency Ends

Jefferson County Health Department will continue to administer free H1N1 vaccinations even after Governor Ted Strickland ends the emergency proclamation Thursday.

Strickland made the H1N1 flu pandemic on Oct. 7 so Ohio EMS personnel could administer the vaccine and local health departments could hold mass immunizations.

Health officials confirmed cases Swine Flu have decreased in the last six weeks, but still encourages residents to get the vaccine.

The Jefferson County Health Department is still offering free H1N1 vaccinations every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3p.m. in room 704 of the Tower Building, 500 Market Street, Steubenville.
