Hancock County, WV —

Controversy continues to surround projects underway as part of a new Hancock County school bond.

Monday night dozens of people representing two groups gathered inside the tiny board room to confront the Hancock County Board of Education.

At issue a proposed health center at the new Weirton Elementary School and fees for the use of brand new high school football stadiums.

There was shouting, debate, and confusion. Throughout the packed room were parents and supporters of the Oak Glenn junior bears and the Weirton little steelers.

And the members of the health industry most notably the Weirton Medical Center.

"We want to help kids but we want to do it in a way that helps the hospital and the employed physicians in our market," said Vince Deluzio.

Despite arguments about fees to use the new stadiums and the exclusion of Weirton Medical Center and other physicians at the new health center, the school board didn't budge.
