Senior Services of Belmont County, a division of the county's Department of Job and Family Services, will assist any resident 18 years or older with completing their Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) applications.

In order to complete HEAP applications, people must bring in proof of income for all residents older than 18 years old, Social Security numbers, birth dates and a copy of their most recent utility bill.

People in need of home assistance to fill out the application can call the senior center nearest to them or contact the Community Action Commission of Belmont County, located at 153 ½ West Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950, or call the CAC at 740-696-0293.

The department will provide HEAP application assistance at the following senior centers during these times:

Barnesville Senior Center -- 229 East Main St. in Barnesville, (740) 425-9101. Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

St. Clairsville Senior Center -- 101 N. Market St. in St. Clairsville, (740) 695-1944. Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
