Hunting Accident

A Pennsylvania man is recovering after his gun exploded in his face. It happened Monday morning in Hanover Township, near the Pennsylvania, West Virginia state line. Officers say 72 year old Robert Carrara of Freedom Pennsylvania was hunting when the gun he was using exploded. Clifford Robertson lives nearby and found Carrara and took him to Weirton Medical Center, "It blew the bolt out put a big hole in the side of his face, took the shoulder off his jacket." A helicopter took Carrara to a Pittsburgh hospital. Officers are still investigating why the gun malfunctioned in the first place.
