The Internal Revenue Service officials said the government has more than $1 billion in unclaimed tax refunds from 2008.
In Ohio, more than 36,000 ikely have a refund waiting for them. Half of those people are owed $637 or more.
In April, the money becomes forfeited to the government forever.
