Jeep Rolls Through Neighborhood, Crashes Into Garage

TORONTO, Ohio —

A Toronto man said he could just watch in shock as his brand-new vehicle rolled down a hill and crashed into a neighbor's garage.

"My brand-new Jeep that I put a lot of money into, going down the hill helplessly and there's nothing I can do about it," Craig Mousourakis said.

Mousourakis said he got out of his vehicle for a second to throw something in the trash and when he turned around, his Jeep Wrangler rolled into an island, down a driveway and crashed on East Fernwood Drive.

He said he recently moved into the neighborhood and hadn’t met too many people yet.

"Not a good way to meet the neighbors," he said.

He said he isn't sure how it happened -- he said his emergency brake was on and he was parked on the flat part of his driveway. But, he said he's glad things worked out the way they did.

"The car can be fixed, house can be fixed … nobody’s hurt," he said.

The homeowner said there are no hard feelings, and his brand-new 2009 Jeep Cherokee parked in the garage made it out without a scratch.
