Jefferson County Jury Finds Man Guilty Of Attempted Murder

A Jefferson County judge sentenced a man to 16 years in jail for attempted murder.

A jury determined on Wednesday that Brian Fellows tried to shoot a woman inside her Wintersville apartment in January, but the gun misfired.

Fellows was also found guilty of assault and kidnapping.

During the trial, a friend of Fellows said "never in a million years" would she think he was capable of the charges against him.

"This is extremely out of character," she said.

Friends of the victim said she is a good and caring person who would never deserve something like this.
