Judge Dismisses Billing Dispute Claims Against Ohio Valley Health Services

Claims against Ohio Valley Health Services & Education Corp. in a health care billing dispute have been dismissed.

The move comes after Wheeling Hospital sued Ohio Valley Health and the Health Plan of the Upper Ohio Valley in June.

The federal lawsuit claimed Ohio Valley Health owes $4.5 million to Wheeling Hospital and its affiliates for services provided to Ohio Valley Health's employees.

On Thursday, a U.S. district judge ruled that Ohio Valley Health didn't sign an agreement concerning health care services.

The Health Plan remains a defendant in the lawsuit.
