HARRISON COUNTY, Ohio —
After nine hours of deliberations a Harrison County jury reached a decision in a high profile rape trial. The jury found Eric Jordan of Dillonville guilty of multiple counts of rape. Police say Jordan raped two juveniles March of last year. Tuesday afternoon a jury found Jordan guilty of three counts of rape, guilty of one count of unlawful sexual conduct, and guilty of one count of sexual battery. He was found not guilty of another count of rape, he was also found not guilty of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. It was very emotional in the courtroom. When the verdict was read, the victim's family and friends were hugging each other and crying. The defense attorney says he is unsure whether or not his client will appeal. A sentencing date has not been set. The prosecutor says Jordan could spend the next twenty years in jail.
