Large Fight In Wheeling Leads To Arrest

John Nolan said he doesn't know why anyone would go after him and his friends, but he said that's exactly what happened Saturday morning around 8:30.

"I don't know what happened. I don't know what made them so mad," Nolan said. "I don't know how they know me. I don't know them."

Nolan said he and his band members were at the Elm Grove Marathon gas station, when several people provoked them and started a fight.

According to Nolan and police reports, it eventually spilled out onto the nearby Shilling Bridge, where officers said they found a man lying in the middle of the road. Nolan said that man was his friend, Lance.

"[A] kid hit Lance twice. Lance got knocked unconscious and fell down. Right when I went to try to help, he got kicked in the head," Nolan said.

Then Nolan said several people ran into a nearby home, and one came out with two butcher knives.

Police said they went into the home and arrested Randy Yuhas on a charge of malicious assault.

Yuhas' bond was set at $10,000. Police said more arrests aren't likely, but they are still investigating.
