WHEELING, W.Va.—
The last house standing was demolished Wednesday where the proposed J.B. Chambers Recreation Park will be constructed later this year.
Edgco, Inc. of Lansing has worked since May to demolish over three dozen homes to clear the way for the new sporting complex.
The last house to be demolished was an apartment complex on 15th Street.
Contractors hope to have the land cleared by mid-fall.
