WHEELING, W.Va. —

Christmas is already on many people's minds, and a local business is asking for the public's help stuffing stockings for U.S. troops serving overseas.

Kepner Funeral Homes in Wheeling is handing out free stockings with the hope that people will bring them back by the end of the month filled with items to send to soldiers.

They said they're looking for items to fill the stockings that soldiers can use to pass time like crossword puzzles and games, along with essentials, too.

Organizers asked that if anyone knows a particular soldier who would like a stocking, please get the soldier's address and let someone at Kepner know.
