BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. —

Brooke County commissioners took time out of their meeting Thursday morning to recognize six county employees who are retiring or ending their terms.

Outgoing Sheriff Richard Ferguson, Prosecutor David B. Cross, Commissioner Marty Bartz, as well as Deputy Matt Rogerson and staffers Kathy Metz and Christina Wells, were all given plaques for their service to the county.

Commissioner Tim Ennis said their hard work over the years is greatly appreciated, and they are all deserving of the recognition.

He said the newly elected sheriff, county prosecutor and county commissioner will begin their terms next week.
