Dog Pound Remains Closed After Possible Parvo Outbreak

By NEWS9

HARRISON COUNTY, Ohio —

The Harrison County Dog Pound is still temporarily closed Friday afternoon for cleaning after an alleged Parvo outbreak.

The pound posted the "closure until further notice" on its Facebook page.

Robin McClelland, an official from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, says there were two alleged cases of Parvo within the last 10 days, and she says a 5-month old puppy died.

McClelland says the pound could be closed for as many as 15 days.
