A woman was injured in a hit and run incident in Jefferson County early Friday morning, sending authorities on a chase after a suspect who traveled over county lines.
Jefferson County 911 dispatchers say the woman was sent by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital following the hit and run.
Jefferson County deputies pursued a driver in connection to that incident. The man was driving a red Dodge Durango at high speeds while multiple police departments followed in pursuit, including Wellsville and Saline Township police.
The man was taken into custody after the pursuit made its way to Columbiana County, ending in Salineville. No names are being released at this time.
