By NEWS9

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio —

A man died from severe head injuries Sunday morning after crashing a vehicle meant for off-roading Saturday in Belmont County, said troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Justin Pytlak, 24, of St. Clairsville, died in the hospital from trauma to his head after he and his 19-year-old passenger, Kelsey Harris, of Morristown, collided with a deer and were ejected from the vehicle on State Route 118, troopers said.

Troopers said both people weren't wearing helmets or seat belts. Harris was treated and released from the hospital following the crash, authorities said.

According to OSHP, it is illegal to drive all-terrain vehicles on the road.
