Police investigate possible misconduct between teacher and teenager

By Adam Del Rosso

CARROLLTON, Ohio —

Police in Carroll County are looking into a possible case of misconduct between a teacher and a 17-year-old female student at Carrollton High School.

Not many details are being released about the allegations, but NEWS9 was able to confirm from police that Carrollton High School math teacher Zack Boivin has been placed on leave while they investigate.

Carrollton Police Chief Ron Yeager said the school as well as Boivin and the accuser are not cooperating in the investigation.

Yeager added that they are currently waiting to hear from the prosecutor to determine whether charges will be filed.

Residents said they are a bit surprised and hope the rumors are not true.

"I haven't heard anything, but if there was something that happened, I think they should pay the consequences," said Ada Collette.
