BRILLIANT, Ohio —

Neighbors in one part of Brilliant are growing concerned with the sights and sounds coming from a business sitting across the road and now they want to see something done.

Residents along Third Street tell NEWS9 trucks have been coming to pick up water from Southeastern Equipment Rentals for the past several days.

"In all honesty, it's absolutely the noise. Imagine at night all the diesel generators and stuff running, the pod lights running, these trucks coming in and out," said resident Tom Westfall.

Others said it's the lights and not the noise that keeps them up at night too. No matter the cause, they agreed it's nonstop.

"It's all day. It is constant. Sometimes you'll have a lull of maybe two hours between the trucks," explained Westfall.

Westfall said he has called Southeast and township trustees for help, but said he hasn't gotten much assistance.

NEWS9 did get in touch with trustee Joe Ellis who said they are monitoring the situation. He said anyone who wishes to speak their mind can do so at a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the township office.

While Westfall wants change, he said he is willing to work with the business.

"Think about the people around you. I don't want anyone to lose their business or job or anything like that. To make money now is a good thing, but you've got to be considerate of what's around you," said Westfall.
Officials at Southeastern said they have no comment.

Ellis added that he will be speaking with the business Friday. He said if action needs to be taken, they will do what they can.
