OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. —
A man is in jail after he allegedly tried to punch a sheriff's deputy at a truck stop Wednesday evening.
Joel Tecca is charged with unlawful assault on an officer, according to the Ohio County Sheriff's Office.
Officials with the Sheriff's Office said Tecca left Jill's Lounge in the Dallas Pike area, then he got into an argument in a parking lot at a nearby truck stop area.
When deputies went to intervene, they said Tecca became aggressive. Deputies first tried to subdue him with a stun gun, then ended up pepper spraying him.
Tecca was transported to the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail.
