WHEELING, W.Va. —

A McMechen man whose mugshot won a measure of Internet fame has been arrested again for huffing paint, Wheeling police said.

Police said they arrested Patrick Tribett on the 1200 block of Chapline Street on Wednesday. They said Tribett had gold paint on his face.

In November, an attorney representing Tribett said he was preparing lawsuits against four companies for using Tribett's image for financial gain.

New Martinsville lawyer H. John Rogers said the image appeared on T-shirts, coffee mugs and even a billboard in Europe.

At that time, Rogers said Tribett had been sober for eight weeks and was making progress.

Tribett was arrested in Bellaire, Ohio, in 2005. Police said he had been huffing the fumes from gold spray paint, and the lower half of his face was golden in his mugshot.

After the 2005 incident, Tribett was charged several more times with public intoxication for huffing paint.
