BELMONT AND OHIO COUNTIES —
A man is behind bars for a hit-and-run crash Saturday after driving under the influence in Belmont County, according to Wheeling police.
William Michael Yeater IV, 22, of Wheeling, was involved in a crash at a Bridgeport gas station just after 2 a.m. He then drove across state lines into Wheeling, police said.
An alert went out to authorities, and Wheeling police said they arrested Yeater.
He is in the Northern Regional Jail on charges of DUI, driving while suspended, failure to maintain control and leaving the scene of an accident.
